Ilve has announced the launch of a new built-in stainless steel coffee machine that is being billed by the brand as “the perfect mix of kitchen chic and your favourite ‘hole in the wall’ daily barista stop”.

The ES645STKA built-in machine features one-touch operation and can make one or two flat whites, lattes, cappuccinos or espressos at a time. It also features a combined milk frothing wand and water spout, a decaffeinated coffee function and a removable drip tray and water tank.

The 60-centimetre machine, which is designed to be fully integrated into the wall, is also “whisper quiet” and features special notifications that let the user know when it requires cleaning or refilling to simplify maintenance.

One of the strongest selling points of the machine is the fact that it not only frees up bench space, but is also designed to complement the fleet of kitchen appliances produced by Ilve.

According to Ilve marketing manager Daniel Bertuccio, the built-in coffee machine market is strongly tied to the built-in appliance category as a whole.

“The market moves as the integrated appliance category moves,” said Bertuccio. “The more people that adapt to the combination microwave oven/steam oven configuration that every brand has these days — the more people that take to that — the more popular built-in coffee machines will become because it gives you the whole set.”

The family of products that the built-in coffee machine belongs to is “definitely getting more popular,” Bertuccio said.

The Ilve built-in coffee machine (ES645STKA) is available from Ilve showrooms and selected retailers for RRP $3,399.
