On Friday 8 March, International Women’s Day (IWD), WA-based premium appliance retailer, Hart & Co hosted a ‘Women in Business’ event at its Osborne Park showroom to inspire, support and encourage meaningful connections among female-founded design businesses.

Hosted in the La Cornue boutique and catered by Marine Nomblot from M Cuisine, attendees enjoyed a cocktail lunch, sampling a French charcuterie and tender duck direct from the La Cornue flamberge.

Hart & Co trade partnerships director, Mick Hart opened proceedings for the afternoon as he welcomed local designers and guest speaker Natalee Bowen, owner of Indah Island.

With over 20 years of experience as an interior designer, stylist, TV presenter and editor, Bowen shared insights gained from running her interior design business both nationally and abroad, including the challenges and rewards she encountered while building her brand over the years.

Hart & Co director, Belinda Hart shared her sentiments as a brand disruptor which industry designers embraced and related to given many event attendees personally run their own business.

“This inaugural event was about inspiring support for one another and making meaningful connections where we could share and learn from partners in an effort to strengthen both our personal and business foundations,” she said.
