SYDNEY, NSW: Harvey Norman has signed a $2 million deal with an international retail service provider to upgrade its point of sale (POS) system.
AdvanceRetail will deploy its POS system across Harvey Norman stores in Australia, New Zealand and Ireland. The installation and testing process will be phased in over the next two years.
The contract covers software licenses, support and system consultancy services.
AdvanceRetail’s parent company, 3Q Holdings, was floated on the Australian Securities Exchange in 2005. Shaun Rosen, 3Q chairman, said he was delighted with the agreement.
“The Harvey Norman brand is a household name in Australia and New Zealand, and we are thrilled that they have selected our flagship AdvanceRetail POS solution,” said Rosen
“We look forward to working with Harvey Norman in the coming years as we implement a quality solution in a great retail company.”
AdvanceRetail’s client list includes Betta Electrical and Australian Geographic.
Earlier this month another retail giant, Myer, referred to the success of its new POS roll out during its financial year sales announcement.
