Glen Dimplex, global owner of the Nobo brand, will reassume distribution of all Nobo branded products from October 1, 2015. Nobo Australasia will change its name to Polo and continue to manufacture and distribute panel heaters and portable air conditioners throughout Australia under the Polo and Polocool brands.

Glen Dimplex Australia managing director, Dave Woodward said, “Nobo is a premium brand and has set the bench mark for sophisticated, stylish heating for decades and we are very excited about it becoming part of our Australian stable of brands. The addition of this iconic panel heater range will complement and enhance our strong seasonal offering throughout the year.”

“As always, our goal is to ensure a smooth transition for all retail partners and a seamless integration into our existing business. We would like to acknowledge Nobo Australasia for all their achievements with the Nobo brand, and we wish them well for all future endeavors,” he added.

Commenting on the change, Leading Appliances group manager, Nicholas Fry told Appliance Retailer, the group has always had an “excellent relationship” with both Nobo Australasia and Glen Dimplex Australia, so he is excited to continue working with both companies to maintain and grow both the Nobo and Polo business.

“Seasonal products are a strength of our group, and quality manufacturers and suppliers like Glen Dimplex and Polo are paramount to Leading Appliances maintaining our strong market presence and being true to our ‘Big Brands, Best Service’ axiom,” Fry said.

Glen Dimplex Australia will assume responsibility for all warranty claims for Nobo branded heating products previously sold by Nobo Australasia, before October 1, 2015.
