Introduces US pop-up restaurant.

Gaggenau is a manufacturer of high-quality home appliances and acknowledged as an innovation leader in design and technology. The company, with a history dating back to 1683, has revolutionised the domestic kitchen with its internationally acclaimed products.

Gaggenau has been a subsidiary of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH in Munich since 1995 and is currently represented in more than 50 countries with flagship showrooms in major cities around the world.

Gaggenau chose EuroCucina 2016 to commemorate its 333rd anniversary; unveiling its booth concept inspired by its maxim “333 years in the making”.

From September 26-29 in NYC, Gaggenau presented a series of exclusive gastronomic experiences through a pop up restaurant, Restaurant 1683. Gaggenau brought together innovative technology, design and the world’s top chefs.

Marking the year the brand was founded, Restaurant 1683 debuted with a four night event in New York City’s Chelsea neighbourhood. Satellite pop-ups are planned in other US cities over the next three years. The restaurant’s environment, designed in collaboration with the Munich-based architecture firm einszu33, headed by Hendrik Müller, will transport guests back 333 years to Gaggenau’s origins and bring the Black Forest to Manhattan.

“This year we are commemorating Gaggenau which is 333 years in the making, being founded in 1683. Ever since then, both timeless quality and inventiveness have formed the foundation of our brand. That’s why we are using this anniversary to celebrate exclusive culinary culture and the enjoyment of sophisticated lifestyle. With the introduction of Restaurant 1683, we worked with internationally acclaimed chefs and sommeliers to create an unprecedented experience”, Gaggenau head of global brand, Sven Schnee said.
