Fujitsu General won the award for Best Large Custom Stand at the Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Building Services (ARBS) expo, held in Melbourne last week. ARBS organisers confirmed this victory in an email to a newsletter to members.

Fujitsu’s stand had several different meeting pods, from tables and chairs to a more leisurely couch setting. It also had numerous charging points, so guest could keep their phones juiced during the expo.

Perhaps pushing it over the line was a bit of star power. Throughout the week, Fujitsu leveraged its Essendon Football Club and South Sydney Rabbitohs sponsorships to entertain guests and dealer partners in seminars including Bombers coach Mark Thompson, Souths coach Michael Maguire and Fujitsu General’s own brand ambassador, former Australian cricket captain Mark Taylor.

During a formal presentation to Fujitsu General’s dealer partners, Toru Ishizuka, managing director for Australia and New Zealand, outlined the Japanese company’s ambition to be number one in both regions in both residential and commercial air conditioning.

Hercules won the 2014 ARBS Product Excellence Award.

“We are so proud to receive this accolade; it’s a tribute to years of hard work and perseverance in research and development to produce Hercules, which we believe is an exceptional product and a game changer in the rooftop packaged category,” said ActronAir general manager Graham Brown.

“The Award is ‘icing on the cake’ to coincide with our 30th year of striving for more energy-efficient solutions in air conditioning!”
