BRISBANE: Queensland electronics accessories distributor Crest has been nominated as a state finalist for a 2008 Telstra Business Award.
Originally long-listed as one of the top 100 Queensland medium-sized businesses, Crest will compete against five other finalists for the Panasonic Australia Medium Business Award. This award recognizes businesses that have between 21 and 200 employees.
Crest has more than 30 years experience in the electronic accessories industries, specializing in electronic sound and vision products. They currently service more than 3,000 shop fronts around Australia.
Talking about this recognition is Crest Electronics marketing director, Dean Wall.
“The awards have allowed us to review our business and its processes and benchmark them against other businesses striving to succeed.
“Being selected as a finalist in our category gives us reassurance that we are on the right track.
“It is also a terrific boost to everyone at Crest in terms of recognition for what has been a very strong 2008, off the back of some restructuring and resetting of our goals.
“This achievement shows the progress Crest has made since winning the Telstra business award in the Small Business category for Queensland back in 2002.
“Clearly as the business has grown in the past six years this result shows we are adjusting our operation accordingly to ensure we are successful,” said Wall.
Crest Electronics will be up against Centor Architectural, Di Bella Coffee, Prowler Proof, Regional Nursing Solutions and Shine Lawyers for this award.
The state winners of the Queensland Telstra Business Awards will be announced at the Sofitel Brisbane on Friday 12 September 2008.
