Canon Australia has just announced the appointment of Craig Manson to the position of senior general manager – marketing.

Manson will join the company this month after previously working at Canon New Zealand as managing director.

The newly created position is part of the company’s realignment to a new business model and will see Manson be responsible for the marketing of all products and services across the Oceania region.

Allne Corder, COO and deputy managing director at Canon Australia, mentioned how Manson’s experience will be very beneficial to the company.

“Craig is well-served for this role because of his extensive leadership experience at Canon New Zealand. This appointment is part of our current transformation to realign business divisions to help us enhance service levels for customers and deliver a broader range of offerings from Canon,” he said.

Manson was also very enthusiastic about the appointment, “This is an exciting new role and I believe there are significant opportunities in our market, despite the current economic conditions”.

“We need to keep focussed on putting in place the correct business model and building a platform for long-term success.”

In other news Canon New Zealand has appointed Mike Johnston to the newly created position of country manager, after previously working as the company’s head of customer services.
