SYDNEY: Sharp has introduced two new docking station music systems available now for the iPod with a host of features including viewing videos on TV.
The Sharp DK-A1H iPod Music System (RRP: $399) boasts 14W total output, from the bass reflex speakers and subwoofer. It also features an AM/FM digital tuner with 40-station random preset memory, RDS (Radio Data System) tuner plus a full function compact remote control, multi colour fluorescent display, alarm clock with snooze, plus a 6-Mode pre-programmed electronic equaliser. It also re-charges the iPod as it plays the music.
The video output allows the user to connect the Music System with a TV, to watch videos stored on the iPod Video. Terminals on the DK-A1H include headphones, FM/AM antenna, iPod dock, AC input and Aux In.
Meanwhile, the Sharp DK-AP2 iPod Docking Station (RRP: $199) produces high fidelity sound from the inbuilt full range speaker system as it plays and charges the iPod. It includes a compact remote for controlling both the docking system and the iPod functions. Other features include two-way operation—power supply or battery supply—plus streaming video files from iPod Video to the TV.
