Electrolux Home Products has confirmed the departure of managing director for Australia and New Zealand, John Featherstone.

Electrolux chief financial officer and head of sales for APAC and MEA, Enrique Patrickson said, “We would like to thank John for the time he spent leading our business in Australia and New Zealand. Over the past weeks, we have reached mutual understanding that we don’t share the same views and approach towards our business and its future. We have therefore agreed to part with immediate effect.”

Electrolux director of operations, Derek Haley will assume additional responsibilities as acting general manager and assist Patrickson with the operation of the ANZ business. This arrangement is temporary in nature and will remain in effect until an appointment is made for Featherstone’s successor.

A recruitment process has begun to identify a successor. Further details will be provided once the recruitment process is complete.

Featherstone succeeded former Electrolux managing director, Mike Putt who retired in 2019.

Prior to his time with Electrolux, Featherstone was chief commercial officer of software solutions company, Corum Group after eight years with Sony Mobile and almost three years with SanDisk.
