This week, Electrolux was host to two consecutive evening presentations of the new Electrolux cooking and refrigeration ranges in Sydney entitled ‘Discover The Electrolux Life’. There were two presentations in Brisbane last week and two more presentations will be held in Melbourne next week. About 400 retailers from across Australia will have attended by its conclusion.

Electrolux managing director, Mike Putt (pictured) said such events are “immensely important” and key to maintaining relationships.

“They serve to remind and reassure our customers (the retailers) that not only does the company continue to provide them with the most innovative appliances with features that consumers have told us they want and value, but also that they will continue to receive the very best marketing and product training and other support we can provide,” he said.

Electrolux will be rolling out 16 new ovens, two freestanding cookers, three microwaves, eight gas cooktops, eight induction cooktops, two ceramic cooktops, nine rangehoods and two dishwashers, into retail stores next month.

Electrolux national brand and trade marketing manager, Richelle Barker outlined the marketing campaign which will support the ‘Discover The Electrolux Life’ release of the new kitchen appliances, starting with a new interactive website with mobile app.

Barker also previewed the television and online video commercial which starts on SBS TV on September 19 while emphasising the continuation of the Electrolux sponsorship of the annual global Taste Festivals and Australia’s only national hospitality awards program, Electrolux Appetite for Excellence.

The new ovens (pictured above) incorporate the best cooking technology including the Electrolux IoI™ (intuitive oven interface), Smart Food Probe (automatically turns off oven after it detects the set temperature being reached of the food being cooked and in which it has been inserted) and steam cooking.

Some induction cooktop models have the Hob2Hood feature where, using infrared technology, the hood’s extractor fan automatically adjusts to any variation in the cooking heat. The hoods also feature LED lighting.

Electrolux will also be launching 11 modular fridge and freezer models (pictured below) in September that can be mixed and matched to make 30 different combinations to form two, three and four-door top and bottom mount fridge/freezers.

All models have flat doors and their appearance can be further enhanced by built-in stainless steel trim kits to integrate them into kitchen cabinetry.

All models feature FreshPlus™ and FreshZone™ technology double insulated crispers and inverter cooling systems designed to keep fruit and vegetables fresher longer by stabilising temperature and humidity. The range also includes Australia’s first five-star energy rated fridge plus other best-in-class energy-efficient models.
