Electrolux and OzHarvest, Australia’s largest rescuer of food, are now in the fourth year of working together to help provide nutritional meals to vulnerable Australians.

In 2021, each member of the Australian executive team will volunteer at the Waterloo food market along with a group of Electrolux employees.

Customers are asked to respect the “take what you need, give if you can” philosophy, while being guided by the volunteers. There are a limited number of items per customer to ensure food is fairly distributed throughout the community.

Electrolux Home Products managing director for Australia and New Zealand, John Featherstone recently volunteered at the market and has ensured that the experience is ongoing for Electrolux employees.

“Our partnership with OzHarvest speaks to our mission to shape living for the better. My day volunteering is just a small way to continue that partnership and provide valuable assistance where it is needed most, in the heart of the community. I am sure I speak for others from our company who have found their volunteering to be richly rewarding,” he said.
