It has been announced today that Siemens Home and Office has signed a master distributor and logistics deal with Ingram Micro, in an effort to enter the fast growing broadband networking market.

The deal will provide Siemens SHC with national distribution and will therefore significantly boost its retail presence across Australia.

Dean Verberne, CEO of Siemens Home and Office in Australia and New Zealand, was very excited about the new partnership, “as the worlds largest technology distributor we were naturally attracted to Ingram Micro.”

“We have found excellent synergies between our businesses – from a quality and innovation perspective in particular.”

This partnership with Ingram Micro is planned to increase the market share of Siemens SHC over the next 12 months, with broadband devices and networking tipped to drive this growth.

“The Australian market is an important part of the Gigaset growth strategy moving forward, and with a number of significant new product releases coming up in 2009, we are confident we’re in good hands,” said Verberne.

“We want to give Australian consumers and small business owners the choice of purchasing quality, award winning, German-manufactured products that offer ease of use, convenience and quality.”

Siemens Home and Office products are currently available in Harvey Norman, Myer and JB Hi-Fi. But Siemens are expecting this presence to now expand significantly.
