Woodland Home Products, the Australian manufacturer and distributor of cooking appliances under the Beefeater and St George brands, has welcomed a new addition to its team, with Anne-Marie Wier taking on the role as marketing manager for Beefeater.

Wier will be in charge of the Beefeater range of Barbeques after the previous marketing manager, Darren Goble, left for the US earlier in the year to help further build the brand as business manager for North America.

Wier started her new role on 18 March 2009 after nine years at Sunbeam, where she had a range of positions starting out as category manger for Healthcare then progressing up to marketing manager for the entire personal care category.

When asked why she made the move, Wier told Current.com.au, that it was for a new challenge.

“The realisation that I had been at Sunbeam for nine years finally hit me and I thought that it was time for a new challenge in my career,” she said.

Woodland Home Products is an Australian owned and operated business and this was one of the real driving forces behind Wier’s decision to move to the company.

“Being at Sunbeam for nine years emphasised the benefits of Australian brands and products to me, and it is a real familiar territory for me to work in,” she said. “I will always continue to work with Australian products.”

Wier has only been with the company for two weeks and is still coming to terms with the cooking category, but regardless she was very enthusiastic about her new position and is excited about her role in the future of the company.
