ECOVACS ROBOTICS unveiled its latest home cleaning innovation, the DEEBOT T20 OMNI, at a local launch event held in Sydney.
Combining flagship features with new inclusions such as hot water mop washing and auto-lift mopping technology, the DEEBOT T20 OMNI promises a cleaner, smarter and more user-friendly experience.
The hot water mop washing function heats water to 55℃ to ensure oil, dirt or sticky residues are effectively removed for improved hygiene and easy maintenance, while auto-lift mopping technology makes switching between hard floor and carpet seamless. Thanks to an ultrasonic sensor, carpet is automatically detected, mop pads are lifted, and suction power is increased to deep clean hidden dust.
The DEEBOT T20 OMNI is the first in the ECOVACS line-up to boast 6,000Pa of suction power, alongside a 5,200mAh battery to deliver more than four hours of cleaning on a single charge. It also features ECOVACS’ strongest OZMO TURBO rotating mopping system – previously exclusive to the ECOVACS’ X1 range – which achieves up to 99.99% stain removal.

ECOVACS’ proprietary OMNI station has been made available outside of the flagship X1 OMNI model, allowing the T20 OMNI to empty its dustbag, wash and dry its mop pads and recharge its battery, in one spot at the same time.
This is supported by advanced TrueDetect 3D 3.0 obstacle detection, which claims to be four times more accurate than LDS (Laser Distance Sensors), TrueMapping 2.0 mapping technology that precisely maps a home in minutes, and ECOVACS’ onboard AI voice assistant, YIKO for hands-free control.
Cleaning routines can be customised via the ECOVACS Home app to mop first then vacuum, only mop or vacuum, or avoid higher-pile rugs. One-click housekeeper mode instigates intelligent cleaning that adjusts parameters according to the home environment, habits and preferences. For example, automatically perform deep cleaning if the home hasn’t been cleaned in a while, focus on specific rooms more prone to dirt, or adjust suction and water flow if it notices a habit.
ECOVACS partnered with former Australian athlete, Jana Pittman (pictured right) – described as the epitome of the brand’s tagline – ‘Raising the Bar, Like No One Else’, having been the first Australian woman to compete in both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, then becoming a doctor, while balancing life with six children.
“We nicknamed our new DEEBOT T20 OMNI ‘bestie’, because it’s just that: a mum’s best friend. It quickly mapped the house and now quietly speeds around devouring and mopping mess from the kids and pets. It’s such a blessing,” Dr. Jana Pittman said.

ECOVACS regional director for Australia and New Zealand, Karen Powell commented, “As the global leaders in home service robotics, we pride ourselves on constantly raising the bar with each product launch.
“With our new DEEBOT T20 OMNI we have added new functionality with hot water mop washing and auto-lifting of mop pads, and increased our suction such that it sits alongside our industry-leading OMNI station, YIKO AI Voice Assistant, battery runtime, mopping system and object avoidance technology to deliver a product at under $1,800 that we believe is like no one else in the market.”
The DEEBOT T20 OMNI is available for RRP $1,799 in select JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Godfreys and Bing Lee stores, as well as online from JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman, Godfreys, The Good Guys, Bing Lee, Robot Specialist, Amazon, eBay, and the ECOVACS website.
