Leader in crafting technology and smart cutting machines, Cricut is making craft quicker and easier with the launch of the Cricut Explore 3 and Cricut Maker 3 that cut at a speed of up to 20.3cm (8 inches) per second to design decals, brighten up walls or make personalised t-shirts.

Cricut CEO, Ashish Arora said, “I’m very proud of what our team has accomplished. We wanted to take the experience to a whole new level and make sure our next generation of cutting machines make it easier on everyone to create larger projects, more projects, much faster.”

Like the earlier versions of these cutting machines, the Cricut Explore 3 and Cricut Maker 3 use a wide variety of materials including Cricut Smart Materials (Smart Vinyl, Smart Iron-on, Smart Paper). Creators can also now create cuts of up to 3.6m (12 feet) at once.

Cricut Explore 3 cuts over 100 materials, including cardstock, vinyl, iron-on, glitter paper and cork for an endless array of DIY projects. Users can cut, draw, score with this machine, and embellish projects with text, detailed illustrations, or easy-to-fold creases.

Cricut Maker 3 allows users to create with more than 300 materials, from the most delicate paper and fabric to tougher materials like leather and balsa wood. Featuring the Adaptive Tool System — the only system that intelligently controls the direction of the blade and cut pressure to match the material — the Cricut Maker 3 also supports the widest range of tools for cutting, scoring, writing, and adding decorative effect.

Both the Cricut Explore 3 and Cricut Maker 3 are compatible with easy-to-use Design Space software available on desktop, iOS and Android.

Cricut Maker 3 and Explore 3 are now available for pre-order from Harvey Norman and Spotlight with in-store availability from 27 June for RRP $699 and $499, respectively.
