Dell’s premium laptop range is getting an upgrade, with the announcement of the XPS 13 Plus, alongside the latest XPS 13 range announced at CES 2022 in Las Vegas.

With a focus on clean design, such as a seamless glass touchpad and zero-lattice keyboard, the XPS 13 Plus is designed to be a stylish and powerful package.

The first XPS 13 to include a 12th Gen Intel Core 28W processor, the XPS 13 Plus’ increased power is supported by larger fans providing 55% better airflow for low running noise and temperature.

Its speedy Express Charge 2.0 technology also enables users to charge the laptop’s battery up to 80% capacity in less than an hour.

“It’s no coincidence the new XPS 13 Plus is our most powerful yet, considering it was inspired by Gen-Z – a group that knows who they are, where they want to go and demands the horsepower they need to get there,” Dell senior director of XPS, Donnie Oliphant said.

“Modern and stylish, yet approachable and efficient – simple and intentional are the new definition of premium. Redesigned from the ground up with more performance than ever before, the XPS 13 Plus makes it so you can do everything you love to do in style.”

Also revealed at CES 2022 was Dell’s upcoming laptops and monitors from its gaming subsidiary Alienware, including a 34-inch curved QD-OLED gaming monitor, the latest slimline x-series Alienware gaming laptops, plus new mouse and headset peripherals.

Dell discussed various concepts that may inform future products, including Concept Flow, a seamless workstation solution allowing for easy swapping between workstations, and Concept Luna, a sustainability effort that could reduce the company’s carbon footprint by 50%.

The XPS 13 Plus will be available worldwide from Autumn 2022, with further details about Dell and Alienware’s products to be revealed throughout the year.
