Canon Oceania has published its 2022 Sustainability Report, detailing how the company has delivered on its annual sustainability objectives and addressed material issues.

Canon publishes the report annually in line with the company’s global corporate philosophy, Kyosei which means living and working together for the common good.

Every three to four years, Canon Oceania Group conducts a comprehensive materiality assessment to help determine the most important economic, social and environmental issues to the business and its communities, with this most recent assessment being the first since the pandemic.

Through the qualitative and quantitative approach, Canon Oceania identified the following six material issues critical to our sustainability:

  1. Responding to the global net zero imperative;
  2. Strengthening Canon products and services through circular economy innovation;
  3. Building an authentic, diverse, and inclusive culture;
  4. Securing resilient supply chains;
  5. Transforming business operations through digitalisation; and,
  6. Collaborating with partners to enhance the customer experience.
