SYDNEY: The managing director of Chinese importer, Fortuna Network, has denied it is dropping its Blueway brand from the cooling market and has confirmed his company is still distributing to Harvey Norman, Bing Lee, David Jones and Strathfield Group.

Blueway managing director, Mito Lee, told Current.com.au that the brand is preparing for a long hot summer with a new range of cooling products that will feature in newspaper and catalogue advertising in conjunction with its retail partners.

The Blueway range of cooling products includes box fans, metallic fans and pedestal fans as well as two inverter air conditioners in 1.5hp and 2.5hp as well as five wall-hung split systems in 1hp, 1.5hp, 2hp, 2.75hp and 3.5hp configurations.

“Of course we are not going out of business,” Lee said.

Lee said the business, which trades as Fortuna Network, is also about to commence selling a new range of consumer electronics under the Luminaura brand including portable DVD players with 7-inch and 9.2-inch screens fitted with analogue and digital tuners with SD/MMC cards and a USB port which provides the opportunity to download 8-bit computer games from the internet.

Luminaura is also investigating a range of car audio products.

Next month, Lee will release an LCD TV and plasma television as well as a DVD player with HDMI connections, a high definition set top box and a hard disc personal video recorder.
