SYDNEY: De’Longhi has announced their range of new heaters for winter this year, with new ceramic models, a ‘Micathermic’ heater and new oscillating tower heater.

The new SDH2000 Micathermic heater (RRP $299) combines both convection and reflective heating to efficiently heat air. De’Longhi claim this method distributes warm air more evenly and more quickly than conventional heaters, and that its design can be used as either a single-sided personal heater or double-sided.

The SDH2000 also comes with a 24-hour digital timer, so customers can return to a warm house or have the heater switch off after they go to sleep. Heat and temperature settings can be viewed at a glance on the LCD display on the base of the heater, and customers can use the included remote control to adjust settings without leaving their chair.

De’Longhi has also added an entry-level ceramic heater, the DCH1030 (RRP $59). It comes with a cooling fan-only mode for ventilation and summertime, as well as a 900W or 1800W setting for heat. It includes an adjustable thermostat and anti-frost function.

The other new ceramic model is the TCH6590ER Oscillating Tower Heater (RRP $139). It comes with a remote control, two heat settings, digital timer, adjustable electronic room thermostat, anti frost function, pilot light, integrated cord storage and digital display.

Finally, De’Longhi will introduce a flame-effect country-style stove to the range, with their Arno Stove Heater. Available in ‘crème’, the freestanding heater can be matched with a detachable decorative flue to create a ‘built in’ look. It has 1200W and 2400W heat settings, and the flame effect can be engaged independently of the heater. It sells for $249 (RRP).
