Last night UnderCurrent received a surprising line of questioning when discussing curved TVs on the back of Samsung’s curved LED Ultra HD TV launch

Which way does it curve and does it curve away from you or toward you? Was the question repeated by a bunch who has never before laid eyes on bendy TV screen.

It may seem like an odd question but it’s one that exemplifies how big a change curved TVs are after decade of dominance of flat screens.

With a lot of hand gestures and description UnderCurrent was able to establish that the sides of the TV curve toward the viewer.  Which lead to the next questions: but why? And, what if I am sitting on the edges?
