Belkin has released the Auto-Tracking Stand Pro, the first accessory to work with DockKit.

The Stand Pro provides automatic, silent, motorised camerawork using iPhone’s built in camera, and DockKit’s automated subject-tracking technology. These technologies combine to follow subjects on camera as they move around with 360 degrees of pan and 90 degrees of tilt, ideal for immersive video calls or recording interactive content.

With the Stand Pro, users can extend the field of view to 360 degrees of pan and 90 degrees of tilt by supporting a pitch and yaw motion model and an automatic system tracker. Simply turn movement tracking on or off with a single button and an LED indicator will show if tracking is active.

“The Stand Pro is unlike any other Belkin product we’ve created,” Belkin vice president of product management, Melody Tecson said.

“Combining premium Belkin quality, impressively responsive robotics, and advanced subject tracking technology with DockKit, we’re excited to provide content creators with a thoughtfully designed product that will effortlessly enhance the creation process.”

Made with MagSafe means mobile devices can be charged at the same time as use with fast wireless charging up to 15W when the Stand Pro is plugged in. With a rechargeable battery, the dock provides five hours of battery life for capturing content on-the-go.

Designed for iOS for use with front and rear cameras, DockKit doesn’t require third party apps; just pair it via NFC and open the camera on social media apps or messaging platforms to start creating.

The Auto-Tracking Stand Pro is made with a minimum of 75% PCR materials and sold in plastic-free packaging. A five-foot USB cable and 30W power supply are included.

It is now available at select retailers and on the Belkin Australia website for $299.95.
