Asko is recruiting for a new business development manager (BDM) to oversee the Victoria/Tasmania region, on the back of strong sales growth across the country.

“Our business has experienced significant sales growth nationally, and consequently there is a need for a fourth BDM to join our business in the VIC/TAS region,” Asko national sales manager, Rob Butchatsky told Appliance Retailer.

“Our experienced team – Peter Cobbett, Fiona Clark and Adrian Barker – have done a brilliant job managing a large number of accounts over several years and the sales increase justifies an additional person to further strengthen our business in these states. We are looking forward to bringing another high performer to the Asko team in the coming months.”

Key responsibilities include sales development and target updates, merchandising, assisting marketing, product, after sales and service teams.

The BDM will also be required to run training for Asko agents and conduct account representation duties, provide regular business performance updates and conduct quarterly stocktakes with relevant agents.

Previous industry experience is not required for the role; just a positive attitude and ability to learn. Someone who is a team player, is well organised, has a good ability with numbers and can communicate with customers and colleagues.
