Arlo has announced new AI-based subscription service plans with Arlo Secure for unlimited household cameras with no additional cost per camera, coupled with smarter and more interactive notifications.

Arlo Secure plans start at $14.99 per month to support unlimited cameras in the home with the option to service a singular camera for $4.49 per month.

Using the Arlo Secure service, customers can add new Arlo cameras for no additional charge with an all-encompassing plan. Customers can also view 30 days of recordings on the Arlo cloud in the camera’s highest video resolution on their smartphone, Amazon or Google smart display device.

Rich notifications or animated previews are sent to the user’s smartphone to quickly view footage action or be alerted if the camera hears a smoke or CO alarm triggered.

Users can now reduce unwanted notifications by highlighting areas on the property where they want motion to be detected with cloud-based activity zones. Advanced object detection will differentiate between people, packages, vehicles and animals.

Customers can instantly call a friend through the Arlo app from their notification screen with one tap and connect with Arlo’s technical support team 24/7 through phone, chat or via the support centre.

Arlo vice president and managing director for Asia Pacific, Brad Little said Arlo Secure represents Arlo’s commitment to customer feedback and delivering complete peace of mind.

“Our users wanted easy-to-understand subscription options to help them protect their homes without calculating monthly subscription costs per camera, and we listened,” he said.

Arlo hardware purchases are now shipping with a three-month free trial of Arlo Secure features.
