ARBS 2014, described as the one event to connect the air conditioning, refrigeration and building services industry, will be taking over the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 20-to-22 May 2014.

Although primarily focused on the commercial appliance industry, the innovations unveiled and showcased at ARBS filter down through to the retail market, making this show a major focal point for trend forecasters in these broad categories.

Some of the biggest names in both commercial and residential air conditioning and refrigeration have secured exhibition space for the conference, which also includes an awards program, including Daikin, Fujitsu General, LG Electronics, Mitsubishi Electric, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Panasonic, Samsung and Seeley International.

Marc Cheah, general national marketing manager at Fujistu General, said the show was an opportunity to network and meet new customers.

“ARBS 2014 is an opportunity for Fujitsu General to showcase its products and systems, answer questions immediately, brainstorm solutions to installation or application issues, discuss specification options, as well as enable current and potential customers to understand the Fujitsu offering better,” he said.

“The show allows passionate, like-minded industry professionals to network and share insights through one-on-one conversations, covering topics such as research and development, staff training, and sponsorship and promotional initiatives.”

A spokesperson for ARBS said the expo is free to visit for members of the trade and is likely to attract consultants, contractors, architects, manufacturers, procurement officers, property managers and self-employed operators.

“ARBS is your opportunity to consolidate your supplier contacts, network with industry colleagues and keep up with the HVAC & R (heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration) and building services news, views and events.  Attend one of the many seminars, workshops or technical tours and stay informed on best practice, topics and issues that are shaping and affecting our industry.”

Shane Quinn, national business manager for air conditioning at Panasonic, said he was excited to demonstrate a new range of heating and cooling solutions offering best-in-class technology.

“We’re gearing up for a massive event this year. We’ve got such an exciting line up, we can’t wait to demonstrate the new products and technologies,” Quinn said. “The 2014 line up definitely demonstrates a large expansion into the commercial air conditioning market, with some great products that will be available this year through our Specialist Air Network.”
