The Anker SoundCore portable wireless Bluetooth speaker has been recalled as a short circuit in the battery can cause the speaker to overheat. This poses risk of serious injury or property damage if the speaker were to catch fire.
Consumers should stop using the speaker immediately and check the serial number to determine if they have a recalled speaker. Affected serial numbers are: ACCJRU1D16400841 to ACCJRU1D16400960 inclusive and ACCJRU1D10309381 to ACCJRU1D10309580 inclusive.
Consumers should dispose of affected speakers in accordance with local requirements. They can contact their local council or find their closest e-waste collection service at the RecyclingNearYou website.
Customers should not throw the product in the rubbish, home recycling, or non-approved recycling boxes found at retail and home improvement stores, as this is a fire hazard. Confirmation of disposal will be sought prior to processing a replacement.
Consumers will be required to provide proof of purchase or ownership and confirmation that the battery backup has been disconnected to receive a remedy.
