After coming out of voluntary administration three weeks ago, the Strathfield Group has revealed its new business strategy and marketing plans.

According to the report released on Friday, the company is keen to regain its position as the number one place to shop for car audio, mobile communications, entertainment devices and home office equipment.

As part of its new strategy the Strathfield Group is set to increase the number of franchise stores, introduce new product lines and focus on providing outstanding customer service.

Van Hovanessian, chairman of Strathfield Group commented on how over the next 12 months more than 60 new stores will be open.

“We will open more than 60 franchise stores and kiosks over the next 18 months and introduce new product lines and services using the iconic Strathfield name such as Strathfield Office Solutions and Strathfield Home Security,” Hovanessian said.

“Most of the stores will run as franchises which have proven more successful and profitable than company owned stores. This model will reduce risk, expenditure and liabilities for Strathfield. We will choose better and more accessible locations and improve the quality of inventory carried to better service customers needs and build consumer trust in our products.”

The report also outlined the new logo and tag line “In Tune With You”, a new jingle, store refurbishments and the launch of flagship stores in Sydney, Perth, Melbourne and Queensland.
