Call us old-fashioned, but UnderCurrent thinks there should be a bit of glamour brought back to the appliance game. With all the talk of price erosion and declining consumer confidence, surely it’s the perfect way to bring back some buzz to the biz, right?
So, understandably, UnderCurrent was rather underwhelmed by the latest copycat to enter the pod-race (that’s an allusion to coffee, not George Lucas’ ill-fated Star Wars prequel).
Ever the eagle-eyed advertising expert, UnderCurrent spotted this ad on a busy road in Sydney yesterday (underneath an advertisement for Thursday night’s line-up at Club Generico). No capital letters? No George Clooney? No Nespresso endorsement?
We’d rather stick to the real thing, thanks. Especially if it means getting to bask in the reflected glory of a two-time People magazine Sexiest Man Alive award winner.
