Panasonic Australia will next year launch a new range of refrigerators. Throughout 2011, the local office of the Japanese electronics giant has been expanding its product categories, with washing machines, irons and small kitchen appliances being introduced.

Although firm details such as the number of models or RRPs have not yet been released, Panasonic has stated a broad timeline for release – March or April 2012.

“With our Refrigerators to be released in 2012, we continue to build on a remarkable 12 months for Panasonic, expanding our innovative range to ensure that we are offering the very best in home appliances to our discerning Australian customers,” said group marketing manager, home environment, Mathew Harrison.

The new Panasonic refrigerators will incorporate EcoNavi technology, which is how Panasonic labels its green innovations. Harrison said these refrigerators will use four sensors (light, door opening, temperature and internal temperature) to “analyse total energy use, adapt to the user’s lifestyle and save energy through efficient cooling”.
