MELBOURNE, VIC: The Siemens stand at DesignEx 2011 is especially popular this year, with Coda head chef and MasterChef celebrity Adam D'Sylvia cooking gourmet canapes for delegates. Amongst the treats satiating designers, specifiers and architects (and rival suppliers) are his trademark Crispy Prawn and Tapioca Betel Leaf, Yellow Curry of Duck and Chocolate Shortcake.

These dishes were prepared on the Siemens CombiSteam Oven (HB36D572B, RRP $4,399). Siemens account manager for Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia, Rachael Williams, said this unit was built-in only and not plumbed, with users filling a reservoir that sits beside the cavity inside the door.
