Yamaha Music Australia has repositioned the prices of almost all of its soundbar models, as a nod to growing sales in the category.

“As a premium brand, we have a long history of some of the best sounding products in this category. There’s no doubt our YSP (Yamaha Sound Projector) has long been regarded as the best audio technology on any soundbar, producing 5.1 discrete channels of sound as opposed to virtual surround sound from most other models,” Yamaha marketing manager for audio visual, Dale Moore said.

The SR-C20A compact soundbar has a revised RRP of $279, down from $299, the SR-B20A is now RRP $299, down from $329, and the YAS-109 and ATS-1090 carry a new RRP of $349, both reduced from $399.

For models with a wireless subwoofer included, the YAS-209 and ATS-2090 are now available for RRP $499, down from $649, while the MusicCast Bar 400 now sits at RRP $799, reduced from $999.

Sitting at the top of the range with Yamaha’s YSP technology is the YSP-2700 at RRP $1,099, down from $1,549, and the flagship YSP-5600MK2 at RRP $2,499 (no price change) with Dolby Atmos support.

Yamaha product and training manager, Boyd Gill said, “We are proud to have been a pioneer of this category in Australia with the launch of the YSP-1 in 2004. Our revised pricing reflects our ongoing commitment to enable all Australians to experience true sound from Yamaha.”
