Global technology company Xiaomi has officially entered the Australian market, with its online store Mi.com/au going live on October 10.
The launch introduces the flagship Xiaomi 15T Series, the brand’s first 5G smartphone in Australia co-engineered with Leica, alongside a wider ecosystem of AIoT and smart home products.
Founded in 2010, Xiaomi entered the Fortune Global 500 in 2019 as its youngest-ever company and is now ranked the world’s third-largest smartphone brand. Its portfolio spans more than 200 product categories, including electric vehicles, with an AIoT platform connecting nearly 944 million devices worldwide.
“For years, Australians have shown immense interest in our products, and we are thrilled to finally serve them directly,” said Xi Chen, General Manager for Australia & New Zealand, Xiaomi.
“At the heart of our direct-to-consumer model is a core commitment to ‘honest pricing,’ ensuring we deliver exceptional technology without the premium markup. This is complemented by our unwavering focus on user privacy and security, and the peace of mind that comes with a full local warranty and dedicated Australian support. We are not just opening an online store; we are building a trusted relationship with our Australian Mi Fans.”
