Smart home technology start-up, Wyze has launched the upgraded Cam Pan v3 with increased coverage, automatic sound and motion tracking, weather resistance, clearer two-way audio and colour night vision.
Easy to install within minutes, Wyze Cam Pan v3 offers automatic tracking, allowing the camera to detect, follow and record motion and sound sent to the Wyze app in real-time. Owners can also customise detection areas so they only receive alerts from specific sections in the frame. It also offers expanded security coverage, with the ability to pan 360 degrees horizontally and tilt 180 degrees both horizontally and vertically – double the viewing area of the previous version.
The new version is IP65-rated for weather resistance, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor settings. Pan v3 can detect and notify users when smoke and carbon monoxide alarms sound. Users can also activate the new Privacy Mode and point the camera straight down, eliminating its field of view.
The Cam Pan v3 delivers clearer audio quality with a built-in speaker and microphone allowing owners to speak into the Wyze app. In addition, the tracking motor is 52dBA quieter when panning and tilting.
Wyze CEO and co-founder, Yun Zhang believes reliable home security is once again at the forefront as people return to the office and travel overseas for holidays.

Wyze Cam Pan v3 can be set up, configured and controlled within the Wyze app. The app is available to download for free through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. It lets users create schedules and automations for the camera, as well as other Wyze products and devices.
