Accepting the award at the presentation ceremony, 2nds World's managing director, Peter Hammerman paid tribute to the “exemplary” staff at the Auburn store, as well as staff across the whole company.

“I’m very happy with this award,” he said. “2nds World has been around 35 years, we have five stores in Sydney, we have four online stores, we have a good commercial division as well. But the most important thing about 2nds world is the staff.

“We have wonderful people. We have 150 staff from 32 different nationalities and I tell you, if the world would run as smoothly as 2nds world staff does, it would be a very lovely place to live.

“Congratulations to all the guys at Auburn. Auburn is our number one store and I’m very proud of them — they’ve been exemplary with their customer service and their products.

"The beauty about 2nds World is it just makes sense," he added. “So come in if you want to have a look, put us on your shopping list and we’ll be very happy to look after you.”
