Winning Group CEO, John Winning has hosted an official opening event for phase one of the new Winnings Redfern flagship showroom with over 300 people in attendance from the appliance, architect and design communities.

Winnings, a new lifestyle and luxury destination for the entire home, incorporates Winning Appliances, Spence & Lyda and Rogerseller in one destination. The new showroom will include two tenancies spanning 2,400 square metres in total, with the second tenancy opening later this year.

Designed by Cera Stribley and featuring custom joinery designed by Fiona Lynch, phase one of the new Winnings showroom showcases a uniquely designed homely aesthetic, state-of-the-art displays from both leading and exclusive brands, a culinary theatre and coffee bar and Shower Lab offering an immersive experience where customers can touch and test shower heads, water pressure and how a fitting looks and feels when in use.

Addressing attendees of the official opening event, Winning Group CEO, John Winning (pictured below) said, “I’d like to thank the wider Winnings team for everything they’ve done to get us here. Everyone in the entire Winning Group is involved in getting the showroom open, either directly or indirectly.

“I’d like to thank Winning Appliances general manager, Harry Boileau and Winning Group design manager, Kate McGlone – she’s put her absolute heart and soul into this showroom, as she does with every piece of work.

“To the Winnings Redfern team, including Spence & Lyda and Rogerseller, thank you for your patience in waiting for this showroom to open. Thank you for your support of the business even when the doors were closed and keeping the sales going through our other stores, as well as online.

“To everyone here tonight, we appreciate your business and your support. As always, we will do everything we can to make your experience as good as possible. We’re not perfect, but when we make a mistake, we put our heart and soul into genuinely fixing it and finding the best solution.

“We’re so much more than just a physical space. We’re a personal connection; a phone call or email away and an emotional connection that comes from the heart with genuine care for serving you, our customers, and your customers, because that’s why we’re here.

“I believe every showroom we open is the best one we’ve done yet. It is only phase one and Kate, I am sure you are going to impress us even more when we open phase two. This is the re-launch of Winning Appliances Redfern showroom as we knew it, but it is turbo-charged with Spence & Lyda and Rogerseller.

“I’ve travelled the world and seen many showrooms and I believe this is the best appliance, furniture and bathroom showroom of its kind in the world, in each individual category and as a whole. We’ve taken inspiration from many places around the world, particularly a lot of design aspects. What Winnings can add to the Australian market is sourcing the finest products from around the world.

“I’m proud to be able to open another showroom with this amazing team, alongside my family to enjoy the experience, and be able to put my own touch on the Winning Appliances business which is now the Winnings business. I’m proud of what I see here tonight, not just in the physical showroom, but the team supporting me. All of the congratulations need to go to the team. I can only take the credit for putting this amazing team together.”

Winning Appliances general manager, Harry Boileau (pictured below) also thanked the Winnings team and suppliers for believing in the company’s vision and investing in the best displays – not only in the country but the world.

“To Mick and the logistics team, Amy and the legal and HR team, my mum in customer experience and her service team – thank you for giving us the opportunity to do this. Without you, we wouldn’t be able to provide the world’s best shopping experience,” he said.

“To my Redfern sales team, you mean the world to me. You’ve worked so hard over the last six months to get to this point. I would also like to thank Fiona for teaching me about the furniture, lifestyle and design world. You have been a breath of fresh air, allowing me to learn something new aside from appliances and bath ware.

“A huge thank you to my customers – the designers, architects, builders, cabinet makers, developers and everyone in between – you stuck through the process with us. Being closed for six months wasn’t easy – sending your clients to our temporary showroom or to Crows Nest, but we hope you’re as proud of this showroom as we are.”
