Appliances Online has been awarded Online Retailer of the Year with Winning Services recognised as Logistics Champion of the Year at the National Retail Awards, which acknowledges the best and brightest in Australian retail across an array of categories.

The virtual awards ceremony was attended by retailers from across the country and included various speakers from across the industry with Minister for Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business, Michaelia Cash providing the keynote address.

Winning Group CEO, John Winning told Appliance Retailer, “We are incredibly proud of our team and our businesses, Appliances Online and Winning Services, to be acknowledged and receive awards for Online Retailer of the Year and Logistics Champion.

“Appliances Online is celebrating 15 years this year and it has been a team effort to continue to deliver our legendary service, each and every day, from the minute a customer lands on our website, to well after they receive their product. Winning Services plays a huge part in the success of Appliances Online and our Winning Group businesses and with an NPS of 82.6, our team goes above and beyond for our customers around the country.

“We are particularly delighted to be acknowledged for our efforts in 2020, as we have remained focused on our company mission to provide the best shopping experience in the world, one customer, one experience at a time, whilst achieving an NPS of over 80. Thank you to the National Retail Association and congratulations to all the winners and finalists.”

The National Retail Association (NRA) CEO Dominique Lamb said that COVID-19 had shown how indispensable retailers are to everyday life and it was great to recognise the winners and finalists who have excelled in 2020.

“NRA members pride themselves on being the face of modern Australian retail and today’s award winners showcase the amazing talent that exists across the sector,” she said.

“Whether it’s in innovation, sustainability, the online market or the sector’s talented individuals, today’s awards demonstrate some of Australian retail’s incredible achievements in a year defined by adversity.”
