A fan heater sold at Harvey Norman, The Good Guys and various other retailers has been recalled due to a risk of fire.
The Sunair Fan Heaters, supplied by GAF Control Australia, were sold during 2006 and 2007 at Harvey Norman, the Good Guys, Kmart, Bunnings, Mitre 10, IGA, Coles and Franklins. This national recall applies to model numbers FHS34 and FHS35.
Product Recalls Australia reports that these fan heaters “have a mechanical fault within the terminal block which in the event of failure could result in a fire”.
Customers are advised to stop using the heater and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. More information is available from the supplier on 1300 659 489.
