SYDNEY, NSW: Sony Australia has provided some tips for users still unable to access the PlayStation Network. The Network was restored last Sunday after a 26-day outage caused by a security breach.

After announcing its Australian restoration and a Welcome Back package, Current.com.au received a number of calls and emails from users who were still without access. We asked Sony Australia what these users should do.

“All the latest information for Australian users can be accessed at the official website (www.au.playstation.com),” said a Sony Australia spokesperson. “This also includes links to help and support.”

“As part of the restoration process, all PSN users are required to conduct a PS3 system software update (v3.61) and change the password for their account. Users can visit this website for a set of tips on resetting their password.”

“If account users have forgotten their password and have therefore needed to request a password reset email in order to log back in, please note this can take some time  to receive due to the very large number of requests."

If this fails, the Sony spokesperson said users should read over this FAQ page.
