SYDNEY, NSW: Duncan Boekhoorn will fill the role of state manager for Western Australia at Convoy International, responsible for the training and leadership of the states sales team.

The new manager comes with extensive experience in the audio visual category, including management positions with Yamaha and Bose as well as a 10-year tenure as store manager with Perth-based retailer Surround Sounds, where he worked with the Convoy brands.

Geoff Matthews, managing director of Convoy International said Boekhoorn’s experience have positioned him well for the new role.

“With Duncan’s proven track record in developing business within consumer electronic and especially the audio field, and invaluable exposure on both the retail and supplier side of the business, I’m confident he will significantly enhance Convoy’s business in Western Australia,” said Matthews.

“Duncan’s primary focus at Convoy will be to deliver high standards customer support including sales training to our growing WA dealer network, as well as leading our WA sales team to deliver the best possible results for our valuable business partners.”

According to Convoy, the continued growth of the 46-year-old company has caused sales team reconsiderations and the appointment of state managers in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane. The national state manager is Gary Tye.
