Motorola has teamed up with Uniden to take on the growing pet accessory category in Australia by distributing pet monitoring products to Australian consumers. Uniden Australia and New Zealand CEO, Kunihisa Ishii, said the multibillion dollar industry presents ample sales opportunities for retail partners.
“With a high volume of pets in Australia, it is clear that they continue to play a significant part in our lives. It is natural for consumers to feel they want and need what’s best for their loved ones and pets are no different.
“We are looking forward to working with Motorola in helping to establish the emerging pet accessories category in Australia,” Ishii said.
The pet monitoring range includes a selection of video pet and behavioural training products. The video pet series features two Wi-Fi enabled video cameras enabling curious owners to view and record their furry friends remotely via smartphone, tablet or PC. Ideal for use on medium sized domestic dogs, the behavioural training range includes a bark deterrent which uses ultrasonic sound technology to help reduce excessive barking.
