There’s been a change at the top of Hybrid TV, the Australian licensee of the TiVo brand. Former CEO Robbee Minicola has returned to America, with former chief marketing officer Tim Boys appointed the new general manager for Australia and New Zealand.

Minicola, who is staying on as a director of Hybrid TV, said the appointment of Boys would prove beneficial for the company.

“Tim is an outstanding and intelligent individual who has an intrinsic understanding of our business and will provide strong leadership going forward,” she said.

In addition to thanking Hybrid TV’s staff, retailers and consumers, Minicola said she looked forward to advising Hybrid TV on its future endeavours.

“I will continue my involvement in the company following my appointment as a director of Hybrid Television Services (ANZ) Pty Limited. In this capacity I look forward to remaining involved with the business which means absolute continuity of leadership and strategy for staff, suppliers and customers.”

Earlier this week, Hybrid TV launched the limited edition TiVo XL exclusively through Harvey Norman, Domayne and Joyce Mayne.
