Since its launch 12 months ago, the UE Boom has redefined the Bluetooth speaker category, offering big sound, true ease-of-use and a decent amount of toughness, all packed into a funky, smooth cylinder.

Owned globally by Logitech, UE is intended to be an accessible brand for music lovers and the consumer response has been very strong. Sources inside the local office say that if it weren’t for brief slumps due to stock shortages, the UE Boom would have totally dominated sales charts in this high-growth category.

To keep up this momentum, UE has introduced four new UE designs and have updated the iOS and Android app, so users can now customise the equaliser. Retailers should also note that Booms can be played together in a mini-multiroom set-up, so they shouldn’t be afraid to cross-sell one UE Boom with another UE Boom.
