Italian cooking brand ILVE is looking decidedly on-trend at the moment: its burgundy coloured freestanding cooker almost exactly matches that of Pantone’s 2015 Color of the Year Marsala.
Distributed in Australia by Eurolinx, ILVE prides itself on having a deep range of freestanding cookers, available in a range of colours and styles, with a nod towards the zeitgest, according to marketing manager Daniel Bertuccio.
“The burgundy freestanding oven range is already a clear favourite with those who love to include daring colours in their kitchen designs,” Bertuccio said. “These wine tones especially fit in the kitchen landscape as they are not particularly overly masculine or feminine, meaning they are versatile and cater for a broader spectrum of buyers.”
“As the oven is the centerpiece of the kitchen, it’s a fit to dress the largest appliance in a bold, eye catching colour.”

Pantone announced Marsala as its 2015 Color of the Year late last year, saying:
“Nurturing and fulfilling, Marsala is a natural fit for the kitchen and dining room, making it ideal for tabletop, small appliances and linens throughout the home. The hue will be especially prominent in striping and floral patterns found in printed placemats, dinnerware, bedding and throws.”
ILVE’s Majestic series is also available in Antique White, Matte Black, Emerald Green, Burgundy, Blue, Stainless Steel and Bright White, with an option of brass, chrome or bronze knobs.
