Tefal is supporting OzHarvest to help raise awareness while providing a financial contribution to battle food insecurity.

To encourage Australians to make mealtimes a source of joy and a way to reconnect with others, Tefal is hosting a free virtual cook off with celebrity chefs Justine Schofield, Hoda Hannaway and Jason Roberts.

The cook off will be live streamed on the Tefal Facebook and Instagram pages, as well as the pages of the individual chefs on Tuesday 7December at 6pm AEDT. With each registration received for the event Tefal will be donating $2 to OzHarvest, which provides four meals for Australians in need.

The idea behind the virtual cook off is inviting friends to come together in the kitchen, and in the spirit of the #Cook2Connect and Plate for a Mate campaign, the three chefs will be cooking together live from Manu Feildel’s kitchen in Sydney.

Top to bottom: Justine Schofield, Hoda Hannaway and Jason Roberts.

Each chef will be cooking a different dish to share with a mate, while using Tefal Ingenio cookware as well as Tefal appliances including the new Cook4me touch, Easy Fry & Grill, and the i-Companion XL.

“At Tefal we believe that cooking and sharing a good meal can be the best way to bond and reconnect with friends and family,” Groupe SEB managing director, Joe Tizzone said.

“We are excited to be supporting OzHarvest, particularly at this time of year when people are looking for a connection with loved ones and can get together to enjoy the simple things such as a plate shared with a mate.

“We are looking forward to having this online cook off with Justine Schofield, Hoda Hannaway and Jason Roberts as friends of Tefal to help us raise awareness about food insecurity here in Australia. Tefal will be delighted to donate funds to OzHarvest to bring joy through a good meal to people in need.”
