SYDNEY, NSW: Uniden is capitalising on the rise of handheld technology with the launch today of two new Bluetooth accessories for tablets and smartphones – the Bluetooth HD Music & Full Duplex Speakerphone (BTS150) and the Bluetooth Portable Teleconference & Music Speakerphone (BTS200).
According to Brad Hales, senior marketing executive Uniden Australia, the devices will give retailers the opportunity to capitalise on wider trends in the consumer electronics market.
“As more people move toward these portable devices, Uniden’s BTS150 and BTS200 speakerphones provide consumers with high quality, convenient access to their dominant entertainment and communication hub, improving the way individuals enjoy their entertainment files or take calls when away from home.”

Weighing in at only 230 grams, the BTS150 is equipped with “a powerful 6 Watt RMS speaker, dual 35mm drivers and a powerful subwoofer for extreme bass”. It is designed to offer effortless connection with Android and Apple devices, as well as other devices that offer Bluetooth connectivity.
With noise and echo cancelling technology and up to 5 hours playing time, the BTS150 also offers “an in-built mic for hands-free calling and conferencing” so it can double as a car kit.

Targeted towards small business as well as personal use, the BTS200 features 4 Watt RMS speakers and 50mm dual drivers and boasts “superior sound quality for better call clarity – ensuring it is also a perfect device for playing music wirelessly”.
The BTS200 also features a removable battery with a USB port that allows users “to reenergise smartphones, tablets, personal music players and other portable devices on the fly,” by connecting to the device and extending its battery life.
At 400 grams, the BTS200 is slightly heavier than the BTS150, but it also features volume control buttons, mute and play/pause buttons, and offers 7 hours battery life.
