Back in May 2013, Retravision began a campaign to rebrand itself. The stakes were high for the retailer — after the very public collapse of Retravision Southern, the brand was purchased by the Narta buying group and the retailer had its work cut out for it to restore its image in the industry.

Enter famed boxer Danny Green.

Apart from obvious merits including four world title wins and a haircut you can set your watch to, Danny Green was chosen by Narta as a reminder for the retailer that “we are Retravision and that even when we get knocked down we get back up again”.

Since the May rebranding began, UnderCurrent suspects Green has let the power of being an “icon” of Australian retail get to him.

If the below advertisement is anything to go by, consumers can expect high standards when they go into a Retravision store, if only because the constant fear of Danny Green will keep staff in line.
