Betta Home Living is partnering with the Melbourne Football Club and digital retail marketing company DC4G in a bid to boost sales, with a new initiative that will target AFL fans with special deals while they’re still at the game.

DC4G provides a number of digital marketing solutions to retailers across the country, including in-store Wi-Fi, in-store GPS navigation and mobile coupons that can be downloaded on a smartphone and used to get discounts on products in a retail store.

Next Monday night, DC4G will bring its mobile marketing strategy to the MCG when Collingwood play Melbourne Football Club, with the help of Betta Home Living. When fans enter the stadium, they will be able to opt in to have discount codes sent to their mobile phone — these codes will then be redeemable at any one of Betta Home Living’s stores across Australia, or on the retailer’s online store.

Speaking about the promotion was Damien Martyn, business development manager at DC4G.

“We’re very excited to be working with the Melbourne Football Club and Betta Home Living to help them engage with their audience in new and meaningful ways,” said Martyn. “Proximity marketing is proving itself as a retailer’s best friend for engaging mobile users and now we can add stadium users.

“We’re delivering a ‘first of its kind’ retail solution. It is amazing what you can do with mobile that’s not being looked at and measured. This is changing quickly though as more brands become aware of what they’re missing out on.”
