A late starter today for UnderCurrent's favourite product of the year: the iHome iDM9 Cup Holder Portable Bluetooth Speakerphone in Graphite – terrible name, great idea.
Shaped to fit into the cup holder in one's car, aeroplane or land-sea medium, the iiCHPHSiG (for short) can playback music from a smartphone or tablet, or from the car's stereo, via Bluetooth. There's also a microphone for hands-free calling. The included 12-volt car charger is good for long drives and the Lithium-ion battery keeps the music going when not travelling. UnderCurrent favourite song about travelling is 'Get Outta My Dreams, Get Into My Car' by Billy Ocean.
Here are some terrible images of iiCHPHSiG (RRP $129) supplied by a PR rep:
And for the trainspotters, get some Billy Ocean!
ALERT! ALERT! UnderCurrent has been pinged by a rival supplier who claims to have a product equally as convenient but with a much better name. This is the iLuv MobiCup, distributed locally by Bush Australia:
Another commonality between these two cup-holder-convenient speakers is the use of gratuitous lifestyle shots – this one is beachside. UnderCurrent's favourite beach song is Caribbean Queen (No More Love On The Run) by Billy Ocean.
And, once again, get some Billy Ocean:
