Following the opening event for Signature Appliances, Appliance Retailer contacted key suppliers for comment on the launch and significance of the new showroom.

Miele managing director, Yves Dalcourt said the opening of Signature Appliances represents a different customer experience for the Bing Lee business.

“The way the store has been designed is not intimidating – delivering a premium shopping experience that is also very relaxed and approachable for designers, architects, cabinet makers as well as consumers,” he said.

“The inclusion of an outdoor area provides natural light and adds an extra element to the store to make people feel more at home during their purchasing experience while the training area towards the back of the store blends in seamlessly.

“It was pleasing to see the genuine appreciation for partner support to create the store from the Bing Lee family – from Lionel, Pete and Sam.”

Smeg managing director, Wayne Campbell congratulated Lionel, Peter, Sam, and the Signature Appliances staff on the opening of the new premium appliance showroom.

“Smeg Australia are proud to support Signature Appliances’ vision to drive the premium appliances segment by showcasing our full range of cooking, dishwasher, refrigeration and coffee appliances. We would like to wish the Signature Appliances staff all the success with their new showroom.”

Asko national sales manager, Rob Butchatsky said the launch was the culmination of what has been a thoroughly professional and enjoyable process working with the entire Bing Lee team in the creation of the first Signature Appliances store.

“Congratulations to Lionel, Pete, Sam, Leo, Alexis and the entire team who have worked so hard to establish what we believe will be an exciting new name in the appliances retail landscape. The showroom is truly first-class, and we are genuinely thrilled to be involved,” he said.

Electrolux director of sales, Chris Coen said the opening event was a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Bing Lee’s introduction into the premium market.

“The Bing Lee management team need to be commended on the quality of execution at the new store, premium appliances in a way truly authentic to Bing Lee,” he said.

BSH general manager of retail, Robert Warner said Australian consumers enjoy some of the most beautiful appliance spaces in the world.

“The bar is set high here and I think Signature Appliances now join this group of stunning retailer showrooms for the kitchen renovation market,” he said.

“I want to thank Sam, Peter and Lionel for challenging us to raise our bar and I am extremely proud of the Bosch and Neff displays that we have created and their contribution to the impressive aesthetic for this store.

“Most importantly, bricks & mortar shop fronts need to deliver outstanding customer experience and I think the holistic approach to store layout, working kitchen, engagement with architects and designers, staffing and training will ensure an exceptional experience for the Signature Appliance customer.”

Andi-Co national sales manager of residential, Jo Edwards said it was great to come together to celebrate the opening of a beautiful space.

“We are so proud to be a part of this Signature Appliances showroom. We wish Lionel and his team every success for the future,” she said.

Zip Water residential director, Cliff Thompson said it is fantastic to see a new store opening in these times, particularly at the premium end of the market.

“Lionel Lee and the Bing Lee family should be applauded for their courage and commitment, which is vital for our industry. From a design and store layout point of view, they have done an outstanding job. It looks very premium but very welcoming too so I think consumers will love it.”
