SYDNEY, NSW: Fuji Xerox has today announced the launch of two new monochrome printers targeted at the high-volume office printing environment – the futuristic-sounding Phaser 4600N and Phaser 4620DN.

The two Phaser printers are set to be sold direct to end consumers through a network of resellers, and are targeted at businesses looking to print large quantities with greater efficiency. Speaking about the new models, general manager of Fuji Xerox printers David Borg said they represented a solid sales opportunity for retailers.

“The high volume monochrome segment is gaining momentum as more businesses look for solutions that enhance overall office efficiency,” said Borg.

“Fuji Xerox Printers operates 100 percent through the channel [i.e. the company does not sell direct to consumer] and we are committed to investing in exceptional products that will deliver real value to our channel partners to enhance their revenue streams, ultimately helping them drive sales in growth segments.”

Both Phaser models have a 650-sheet paper capacity (which can be expanded to 3,750 pages with additional paper trays) and are capable of producing up to 275,000 prints per month. The Phaser 4600N prints 52 pages per minute, while the 4620DN prints 62 pages per minute, with both models offering a first-page-out time of 7.8 seconds.

The printers also boast additional security features including a Secure Print function that requires users to enter a pin in order to access their queued print job, and Image Overwrite technology that erases unneeded data from the printer memory to protect confidential documents.

The Fuji Xerox Phaser 4600N is available for RRP $1,869, while the Phaser 4620DN is available for RRP $2,749.

The Fuji Xerox Phaser printer offers office users high-volume monochrome printing and a space-aged name.
